Stockport is located 6kms north-east of Hamley
Bridge, approximately 70kms north of Adelaide.

Ian Bedford (right) donated the land on which
the society built their first dome (square base) in 1986.
The second dome (round base) is larger and was
privately owned by Ian and housed a 76cm (30")
Newtonian-Cassegrain
reflecting telescope (below). He later
sold this dome and land to the society but kept the telescope for his new
observatory.

facility operated by the ASSA and The Heights School.
The Heights observatory contains a 32cm (12.5") Cassegrain
telescope

Douglas Scrub is located
approximately 45kms south of Adelaide near McLaren Flat. Last used in 2004
